Individually Collective Blogging: A Hiatus, sort of
My good friend Christina and I have been participating in NaNoWriMo together for two years now. Next year, we were contemplating choosing a storyline and characters and each writing our novel using the agreed upon plot and setting. I’m not sure how this is going to work out, but it sounds rather interesting. I was also recently inspired by my Twitter-bud, @melissaoyler and her friend (Amy) who are choosing a random topic and then each blogging about it. Christina and I thought this would be an awesome way to test out our ability to write individually on a collective topic.
This week’s topic: Nothing
Visit Christina’s blog to just read about whatever she’s getting into here. And here is her hiatus announcement.
I’m writing to let all my dear readers know that it might be awhile before you see another Individually Collective Blogging post floating around MyNeChimKi (or The Table Has Shoes, for that matter). I know how disappointed you all are, I’m kind of disappointed too.
However, I’m more excited than I am disappointed. You see, the reason that Individually Collective Blogging is taking a short hiatus is because we’re ramping up for NaNoWriMo. Yes, I realize that this is May and that NaNo doesn’t start until November. But as I mention in the header of every Individually Collective Blogging post, we were striving to each write our own version of the same novel next year and see what happens! So far, our Individually Collective Blogging posts have all been explorations of real life things that happened to Christina and I. In order to properly prepare, we feel that we need to shift our focus and get a little fictional!
Don’t be surprised the next time you read an Individually Collective Blogging post if it sounds a bit wild, outlandish, or completely fictional! Feel free to peruse the archives of Individually Collective Blog posts here if you get bored and need your fix.
